Prevention is stronger when young people recognize risk and the adults and institutions around them know how to respond.

UNITY Prevention brings together education for young people, training for adults and institutions, survivor-informed practice, and community-based coordination to help people recognize risk earlier and respond more effectively.

UNITY Prevention builds on the prevention work established by UNITAS, carrying that experience forward under a clearer, prevention-focused identity.

UNITY Detroit

Prevention, Built Into Community

UNITY Detroit is the first UNITY Network, a referral-based prevention hub for young adults ages 18–21. It will pair case management with coordinated referrals and local partnerships so young people can access support before instability deepens.

Earlier Connection

Young adults connect to support through trusted referral partners.

Coordinated Response

Case managers help participants navigate services based on their individual needs.

Local Partnership

Detroit organizations bring specialized expertise while UNITY coordinates connections and follow-through.

What changed because of UNITAS?

Years of prevention work have strengthened what young people know, how professionals respond, and how schools and community partners approach exploitation risk.

YOUNG PEOPLE EQUIPPED

Young people gained clearer language to recognize trafficking, manipulation, vulnerability, and where to seek help.

PROFESSIONALS PREPARED

Educators, service providers, law enforcement, and other professionals strengthened how they recognize concerns and respond.

SCHOOLS BETTER PREPARED

Schools and districts gained curriculum, training, and response tools that support earlier recognition and clearer action.

COMMUNITIES STRENGTHENED

Partnerships connected schools, service providers, public agencies, and community organizations around prevention.

PREVENTION SYSTEMS BUILT

UNITAS combined curriculum, professional training, response practices, and institutional support so prevention could extend beyond a single lesson or training.
